We snagged a free of cost pallet wood from the nearby nursery and have played with it so creatively. We have just newly built a room which has a lot of empty space on walls; we just want to get some artistic displays there through handcrafting of pallet wood. After sticking our eye on pallet wood for a while, this DIY pallet map blew our mind and made the creativity loose to be out. We decided to get a DIY pallet world map art out of the pallet wood which would accent the home walls aesthetically.
This DIY pallet wall art came up with a remarkable home wall beautification idea without any heavy flow of money. We have just plotted the world map ( a little bit portion) on the paper with a pencil and then draw its sketch on the handmade pallet board and gave a light yellow color fill and here we go with a nice DIY pallet projects which will definitely be centerpiece and arresting center of attention on the living room walls.

If you make a appreciated of its whole appearance with the plane background color of the wall if will be more visually attractive then.
Disassemble the pallets with the help of a hammer and spy or pry bar, new one pallets offers some difficulty while being stripped up. After getting a pile of separated pallet planks move on to the next level which is stacking of them into a board shape.
Choose the equally thick planks and line them up in a plane board shape and use saw to have desired and customized size for your world map. After getting a rectangular board out of the pallets we have also added the back support to it by fixing some planks at the back.
Print out the any piece of the world map by surfing the internet and use the tracing paper taped with it to have a complete sketch of it.
Here we have done the same we taped together the map print the tracing paper to have a sketch of that map. Use the pencil at the back side of the tracing paper to mark the outlines of the map.
Now pull the both paper apart and retrace the front of the tracing paper by placing it one the wooden panel without creases. Push the pencil deep and hard to get a visible and well defined map on the wooden board.
After getting the sketch on the wooden board mark the outline with a permanent marker and give it a fill of color which you desire to be on it. We have used the light and pastel shade of yellow color to get a sunshine tint which was according to our room ambiance. You can try any other from tons of appreciable color shades.
Rustic and weathered condition of the wooden board at the back tell us the history of the wood which is a nicer effect of its own. You can make the wooden panel board varnished or stained too before getting a map sketch on it but we were contented with this nice worn and antique look of wood.
