It is always great to do things by yourself and you feel more satisfied for something that is done by you and you can get credit for it plus the advantage of taking ownership. I am sharing my own project of DIY Pallet Planter box. This is simple activity and you can make it in a day. You don’t at all need some special skills to make a pallet planter box. Another important thing about this project is that it doesn’t need a complete perfection but a rustic look and it will turn into an exciting activity for you.
Instructions to make pallet planter box:
You need to arrange some old pallet wood and turn these pallets into a box shapes without any base.
Next you need to have some 1*3 boards and you will make the base of the planter with this.
You can make the top decorative with some creative ideas. To attach the pallet boards you can also use wood glue. It easily fixes the wooden parts.
Once you have completed the base and turn the pallet boards into a box shape.
The next and most interesting part in making the planter box is to paint it to give a great look. Painting was something I enjoyed the most and I am sure you will enjoy too.
You don’t need to be worried about perfection and all that as explained earlier that it won’t matter much. You can choose any color for painting but I choose white as it looks for decent.
After painting you will let it dry overnight, you can polish it as well if you want more smooth and shining surface.
After drying I used a sandpaper for sanding and added some glaze to darken up the sanded down. You can use a rag for this purpose and later wipe it out with a wet cloth.
