It takes much time and effort to prepare a home nursery or mini garden for herbs, flowers or vegetables. When your garden becomes ready you can left it open for destruction by the animals, pets and of course your naughty kids. So block off the unexpected entries to your garden you should fence the sides of your garden.
To do it really cheaply we have used some pallets and some firring strips to make this DIY pallet picket fence for our mini garden. It was really easy to have it in no time, the most time taking process wan the disassembling of pallets but using the sawzell we did it safely without any excess of our muscle effort. You may also visit the scrap piles around your home, some shipping areas and nurseries to get the pallets to get the protective wooden wall around your garden. This DIY pallet fence is really cheap, advantageous and gives extra protection to your inside garden mass.
We were having a mini flower garden and some random and unexpected entries of our pets and kids compelled us to make our garden place fenced for safety of our hardly grown flower plants.
We were thinking about the budget while planning for the fence but some chic DIY pallet ideas about garden fencing gave us the perfect solution while surfing the internet. We got all the pallets free from near one nursery which is the only required in this project.
Using the sawzell we made the pallets separated into individual lengths and then install them on firring strips by using nail gun. You can do it for any desired length of fence. You can easily find some 2x4s firring strips from Home Depot otherwise reclaim them if you have them in home.
Make the targeted fencing area clean and dig up some soil from there. Then firmly fix the roots of your fencing lengths to have a picket fence to guard your garden plants.
We choose the purple color with white wash solution to give a charming appearance to the wood. You can select you favorite colors like deck paint and dark or light wood shades for personal specifications and desires.
Some leftover wood also make us provided with this rustic DIY pallet garden bench which can be used either for potting purposes or sitting purposes. We have done this fencing project at no-cost and gave the rustic pallet wood a new serviceable life to be used for a long time.
