We wanted our living room a most favorable place for visitors and guests and it lacked of some really cool sofa because it had a lot of room which was necessary to be filled up with such a nice DIY pallet couch design plans for complete and classy looks of out living room. But How to manage the budget for it? it was the main question that puzzled us a lot.
But thanks to pallet wood, the blessing wood, that made us wise to cleverly construct this living room centerpiece on a friendly and thrifty budget. In this whole DIY pallet furniture project we have just paid for cushions which we have bought from the market otherwise the whole plan is no-cost and consumes some of your thinking and muscle strength only.
It was just a nice pieces of recycled pallet art featured with wheels that make the sofa very light weight to be movable by a single person or a child.
All we have taken use of wise thinking to get our couch in serene mode. For this purpose we have make the back a little bit down comparatively to that of front side, a nice tip for a comfortable seating according to body position.
We disassembled the pallet skids using a spy bar and hammer it was easy but time consuming but we did this with fun with some of our family members and with some extra supply of tools. Then we used the pieces to form a couch frame starting from the berth portion.
Circular saw tool helped us a lot in this DIY pallet sofa tutorial, with the help of we sawed some manageable sizes of planks according to the dimensions we chosen for out couch.
You can see the shine and spark nature of wood grains which we have caused through sanding them all down. Palm or orbital sander otherwise a medium grit of sandpaper will work great for sanding to make the wood run down.
Remaining planks of the pallet board frames provided us the rustic frame for our couch and we fixed them up with two sets of wooden blocks (shorter at the back and bigger at the front) to get that high feel of comfortable seating.
Here we have not the preview but we have stained the wood too to be endured and dark brown appearance with a dark color shade of stain.
We screwed the planks and got a very rustic and well defined shape of out DIY pallet seating plan which will be best cooperating and coordinating to a vintage styled living room.
Imperfections in the construction can be lessen by doing some DIY pallet projects but the imperfections of wood tell the rustic history of wood which held much precious to a vintage home interior but work great too for a modern chic environment due to its Eco-friendly nature.
